The Gothia Cup is an international soccer tournament that since its beginning in 1975 has grown to over 1,700 teams representing more than 70 countries. The opening ceremony at Ullevi Stadium attracts 50,000 spectators and international soccer participants, while 1,100 volunteers guarantee that this will remain the international soccer tournament of all international soccer tournaments! First-class international soccer competition on first-class soccer fields is only part of this great festive week. Located on Sweden's beautiful west coast, Gothenburg offers all the excitement of a major seaport city, as well as fine beaches, water sports, boat trips, shopping and dining, making it a great travel destination for youth soccer teams.
Age categories 2024 and 2025
Boys 11v11 - born after January 1, 2006-2010 (2024) and 2007-2011 (2025)
Boys 9v9 - born after January 1, 2010-2011 (2024) and 2011-2012 (2025)
Boys 7v7 - born after January 1, 2012-2013 (2024) and 2013-2014 (2025)
Girls 11v11 - born after January 1, 2006-2010 (2024) and 2007-2011 (2025)
Girls 9v9 - born after January 1, 2010-2011 (2024) and 2011-2012 (2025)
Girls 7v7 - born after January 1, 2012- 2013 (2024) and 2013-2014 (2025)
Tournament offers age dispensations for specific age categories. More information is available upon request. The Swedish FA mandates that 2010 age groups and younger are not allowed to compete in a tournament championship format. So no results are published and there is no playoffs. Instead there will be a second group stage after the initial group stage.

The entire city of Gothenburg offers both grass and turf fields at approximately 30 soccer complexes.

Tijdens de Gothia Cup in Zweden, een van de grootste internationale tornooien voor spelers met een mentale beperking, behaalden de Special Devils, de gouden medaille.
Na een glansprestatie van onze Special Flames op de Wereldspelen in Berlijn, was het nu de beurt aan onze Special Devils (niveau 2) om op internationaal niveau hun kunnen te tonen. Zo namen ze van 17 juli tot en met 20 juli deel aan de Gothia Cup in Zweden.
Na winst tegen onder andere Zweden en Luxemburg, mochten onze Special Devils op donderdag 20 juli aantreden in de finale tegen het Duitse Hannover. Dankzij een overtuigende 5-0 overwinning, behaalde onze nationale ploeg de gouden medaille op een van de grotere internationale tornooien.Gothia Cup

Boys & Girls Teams aged 11 - 18 can enter the competition. Your team must be a member of your FIFA affiliated national association or if you're a school, you must be affiliated by your school football association.
