Armagh vs Mayo: Niamh Henderson determined to build on feel-good factor in Orchard County
The Clann Éireann ace was at Croke Park to watch Kieran McGeeney's side defeat Roscommon last weekend and the Armagh Ladies are hoping to secure their place in the All-Ireland semi-finals on Sunday
TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Senior Football Championship quarter-final: Armagh vs Mayo (Sunday, 5.45pm, Box-It Athletic Grounds, live on TG4).
It may have only been a fifth round game in Division 1 of the Lidl National Football League, but for Niamh Henderson, Armagh’s clash with Kerry at BOX-IT Athletic Grounds on March 3 of this year was one of major significance.
A part of the Orchard County side that secured the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Football Championship crown with a final victory over Waterford back in 2012, Henderson also went on to win NFL Division 3 and 2 titles with Armagh in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
However, after subsequently having two operations on her knee, she ended up being away from competitive fare for an extended period of time.

Armagh head to Minor Final for the first time since 2009 to take on reigning holders Derry
Derry takes on Armagh today in the Electric Ireland GAA All-Ireland Minor Football Championship Final.
Reigning Minor champions Derry bested a valiant Kerry side in Mullingar to get back to the final, narrowly avoiding defeat with a 1-13 to 1-12 performance. Derry held on to the lead to keep their back-to-back championship hopes alive after taking the lead with just over ten minutes to go through Ger Dillon at Cusack Park and managed to hold onto that lead despite Kerry testing the reigning champions until the death.
To get to the final, Armagh saw off Mayo in a 0-16 to 1-06 win with a great second-half effort by Aidan O'Rourke's men. The heavily-touted Mayo side was outscored by Armagh 0-9 to 0-2 in the second half to book Armagh's first Minor final since 2009. The Orchard County are hoping to land the Tom Markham Cup for just the third time in their history.
This'll be the second time these sides meet in the championship this year as Armagh and Derry will return to Omagh six weeks on from their Ulster final battle. That match saw Derry retain the provincial title in a close encounter, managing a 0-12 to 1-7 win over the Orchard County. Derry will have to beat Armagh again on Sunday as the Oak Leafers bid to retain their All-Ireland crown.
Ulster rivals Armagh and Derry go head-to-head for the third time in the Championship - this time with the All-Ireland MFC title at stake.
The Oak Leafers are the current holders of the Tom Markham Cup and today’s final is the third time in successive years that two teams from the same province have contested the All-Ireland Minor Football Championship final.
Derry defeated Armagh in Owenbeg 2-18 to 0-7 in May in the group stage, but just two points separated the teams in the Ulster final in O’Neills Healy Park.

A handful of Damian McErlain’s squad featured in last year’s win over Monaghan at the Box-It Athletic Grounds and Derry are strong favourites to secure a third minor title in five seasons.
However, Aidan O’Rourke’s side could have easily snatched victory at the end of the Ulster final and the Orchard County were impressive winners over Connacht champions Mayo in the semi-final.
